This institutional mission will be presided by the Hin, Natacha Seijas, Chair of the Jay Malina International Trade Consortium. January 29 - 30, 2009 – PGA Annual Tradeshow, in Orlando, Florida.
We invite our members and friends to join the Professional Golfers Association Tradeshow to be held January 29-30, 2009 at the Orlando Convention Center, in Orlando, Florida. More than 300 exhibitors will be present and lots of networking opportunities. The PGA will host a Golf Industry Supplier Diversity Forum for small and medium minority companies wanting to do business with this sector. This forum will take place Friday, January 30, 2009. March 5 - 7, 2009 – Agroalimentaria 2009 Food Show, Dominican Republic.
We proudly join efforts in inviting you to attend the largest food, beverage and tobacco tradeshow of the Dominican Republic. Agroalimentaria 2009 will take place March 5-7, 2009 at the Dominican Fiesta Hotel and Convention Center. April 15, 2009 – CAMACOL / Florida Film and Entertainment Development Program series of events. “La Lupe A One Woman Show” at the Colony Theater in Miami Beach. Lauren Velez stars as Lt. Maria LaGuerta on Showtime’s suspense drama series “Dexter”. Velez won a Vision Award in 2007 for Best Actress in “Dexter” as well as a NCLR Bravo Award for New York Undercover”. Starring in “City Hall”, with Al Pacino, and “Prince of Central Park”, with Kathleen Turner, Lauren was also recognized with an Independent Spirit Award nomination for her breakout role in “I Like It Like That”. Season 2 was extremely busy for Lauren, playing Lieutenant who often flirts with Dexter earning her an Outstanding Actress nomination at the 2008 ALMA Awards, and a 2009 SAG Award nomination for outstanding performance / Ensemble Television Drama Series. In the same season Lauren won the IMPACT Award for Outstanding Actress in a Television Series from the National Hispanic Media Coalition. This wasn’t the first time Velez was recognized for her role on a television series, having won praise for her breakout television role as a policewoman, Nina Moreno, on the NYC cop drama series “New York Undercover”. Lauren is currently playing a sexy love interest, in a multiepisode arc on ABC’s acclaimed “Ugly Betty”. The play is written and directed by James Manos, Jr. Emmy Award winning “Sopranos” writer and creator of Showtime’s “Dexter”. Future plans for the play include a film project. April 25, 2009 – March of Dimes – “March for Babies”
Join Gene Schaefer, Miami Dade / Monroe March for Babies Corporate Chair and bank of America President, hundreds of corporate leaders, community leaders and thousands of walkers and volunteers for 4 miles of fun and entertainment. Family and friends are welcome to attend. This event will be held Saturday, April 25th, 2009, at Crandon Park, Key Biscayne Florida. Registration will begin at 7:00am, the Walk commences at 9am. Funds raised will enable the March of Dimes to continue its fight to save babies because today in America every 4.5 minutes, a baby is born with a birth defect that could kill or disable them.
